Qantas has unveiled a new “Double The Rewards” promotion, giving Frequent Flyer members the choice of earning either double Status Credits or double Qantas Points on eligible bookings.

To take advantage of the offer, members must register for the promotion before making any bookings. Registration is available through the Qantas website or mobile app.

Eligible flights must be booked by 11:59pm AEST on 2 September 2026 for travel between 3 September 2026 and 14 August 2027. The promotion applies to regional, domestic, and international flights that are both marketed and operated by Qantas under a QF flight number. Codeshare flights and travel on partner airlines such as Jetstar, Emirates, and other oneworld carriers are excluded.

Importantly, bonus Status Credits earned through this promotion will count towards Lifetime Silver, Lifetime Gold, and Lifetime Platinum status.

Double Status Credits or Double Points?

Frequent flyers aiming for a higher status tier may find Double Status Credits particularly valuable. However, travellers who are unlikely to reach the next status level may prefer Double Qantas Points, which can be redeemed later for flights, upgrades, hotels, and holiday packages.

Qantas has also extended the double-points option to eligible Qantas Hotels and Qantas Holidays bookings.

Can Existing Bookings Be Rebooked?

Travellers with bookings made before the promotion may choose to cancel and rebook to receive the bonus rewards. However, this strategy only makes sense if there are no significant change or cancellation fees and the new fare remains competitively priced.

Historically, fares can rise during Double Status Credit promotions due to increased demand, so passengers should compare costs carefully before making any changes.
