United Mileage plus is making a change for all flights after 15th November 2019. There will not be a published award chart which previously would list the miles needed for each flight. The good news is that some mileageplus points will be lower from 15th November and the close-in fee of up to $75 for booking last minute won’t be charged.
On some popular flights some award prices may be higher, fluctuation will be based on demand. These updates will be great for some United airlines frequent flyer customers if your travel is flexible. However, your plans will be impacted if you need to fly on a specific date or if you have a specific destination in mind. There will still be no blockout dates for United Mileage Plus member with Premier status and qualifying United Chase Cardmembers. There are no added restriction and the fare rules for all award travel apply. For travelers planning to travel on high seasons, we recommend that you redeem your United miles points before 15th November 2019.
