Flying Blue is introducing a new Reward Ticket fare structure from 8 September 2026, giving members three options when redeeming Miles on eligible Air France and KLM flights: Light, Standard and Flex.
The new fare options are designed to give Flying Blue members more choice over the benefits, flexibility and services included with their reward booking.
What are the new Flying Blue Reward Ticket options?
Light
Light is the simplest Reward Ticket option and is designed for travellers who want to use fewer included services.

- Advance seat selection is available for an additional fee
- Baggage allowance depends on the cabin
- Additional services can be purchased separately
Standard
Standard offers a balance between price, benefits and flexibility.
- Checked baggage is included
- Changes are available for €70
- Refunds are available for €70
- Advance seat selection is available for an additional fee
- SkyPriority is included in Premium (Comfort) Economy and Business cabins
- Lounge access is included in Business Class
Flex
Flex is the most comprehensive and flexible Reward Ticket option.

- Changes are included
- Refunds are included
- Advance seat selection is included
- SkyPriority is included in Premium (Comfort) Economy and Business cabins
- Lounge access is included in Business Class
When do the new Flying Blue Reward Ticket fares start?
The new Light, Standard and Flex Reward Ticket options will be available from 8 September 2026 for new reward bookings on Air France and KLM-operated flights.
Bookings made before 8 September 2026 are not affected. Existing Reward Tickets will keep their original conditions, including if changes are later made to an unused ticket.
Are partner airline Reward Tickets affected?
The new fare structure mainly applies to Air France and KLM-operated flights.
For itineraries that combine Air France or KLM flights with partner airline flights, only the Standard Reward Ticket option will be available. Stand-alone Reward Tickets on partner airlines will continue under the existing structure.
Can Flying Blue members still use Miles for additional services?
Yes. If a service is not included in the selected Reward Ticket fare, members can purchase it separately where available. Additional services can be added during booking or after booking through the relevant Air France or KLM booking management channels.
What does this mean when redeeming Flying Blue Miles?
When redeeming Miles for an eligible Air France or KLM flight from 8 September 2026, Flying Blue members will need to consider not only the number of Miles required but also the benefits and flexibility included with each Reward Ticket option.
Light may suit travellers looking for a simpler reward booking, while Standard offers a balance of benefits and flexibility. Flex is designed for travellers who want greater flexibility and more services included in their ticket.
For existing bookings, no action is required as the new fare structure does not apply to Reward Tickets issued before 8 September 2026.
